The Visual Arts International Festival – VAiF26 invites designers and creative studios from all over the world to participate in the Poster Design Open Call “Designing for Change: Memory / Tradition.”

The aim of the open call is to explore how visual communication engages with concepts of memory and tradition, encouraging critical reflection and contemporary reinterpretation through poster design. Submissions are expected to demonstrate strong conceptual thinking, originality, and a clear visual language.

The selected works will be presented in an exhibition as part of VAiF26 in November in Thessaloniki.

Participation is free of charge, and the submission deadline is Sunday, May 31, 2026.

A photobook is more than a medium. It is a way of thinking and a structure of storytelling. This open call seeks projects with a strong visual identity, coherent narrative, and a contemporary photographic approach. There is no thematic restriction. Submissions may include self-published books, collaborations with publishers, as well as zines or dummy photobooks.

The selected works will be presented in an exhibition as part of VAiF26 in November 2026 in Thessaloniki.
